Dover Limited is a company importing liquors from 30 overseas suppliers mainly in the EU, while our production division, Dover Distilleries Ltd., produces approximately 200 types of our own branded brandy, spirits, and liqueurs at our two distilleries located in Western and Eastern Japan: the Kobe-Sanda Distillery and Kanagawa-Atsugi Distillery. With a wide variety of liquors totaling to more than 400 types including imports and domestics, we have been able to meet the diverse and changing needs of our customers.
Regarding the drink market, we have been able to obtain the trust and support of many professional bartenders with our wide portfolio, including our originally developed liqueur lineup, the “Washu Series” using traditional Japanese ingredients. At the same time, we have another important role in the Japanese market. That is, we also supply liquors for the pastry and culinary markets that offer a more affluent and sophisticated lifestyle for the future. Our goal is to be the specialist and the essential company in those fields by offering the best possible liquors made from highly selected natural ingredients.
In addition to the liquor business, we are proud of the great appreciation for our “Dover Pasteuriser 77”, a versatile alcoholic formulation for sterilization and food preservation. Its quality is highly evaluated by consumers, pastry and bakery shops, and other various food industries. We are also proud of the fact that the Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition has adopted “Dover Pasteuriser 77” into their outfit, upon scrutinization under their extremely strict quality test.
We believe that liquor represents the history and tradition of its home country and cuisine an expression of its culture. With reverence to such history and culture, we will continue our unending pursuit of pleasure and benefit that liquors can provide. This has not changed since the foundation of our company, and we will continue to make every endeavor to meet the requirements and expectations of our customers with a wide variety in our product portfolio.
